Momentum Drum & Bugle Corps is being developed in Columbia, Missouri.
Once formed we will apply to compete in Drum Corps International. Our philosophy is grounded in patience and responsibility; so the full corps will not go active until we can financially support the goals of providing a quality environment for the youth. Our parent company is a Federal 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation; and we are also registered as a Missouri Non-Profit. Momentum's Board and Staff are working diligently and responsibly in building our organization into a viable entity.
Our initial step was to develop a successful educational Theorem Program with a winter guard called Destination. The second step is to build a small music ensemble called Velocity as an entertainment and fundraising unit. Our full corps, which will be called Momentum, will therefore grow out of a strict methodical process and be constructed on high quality as well as financial stability. At the end of this building process we will be able to bring forth a full fledged performing ensemble within the competitive realm of DCI which will benefit the youth, the community, and the marching arts as a whole
